No, I’m not talking about the 7 wonders of the world. Are there really only 7?I don’t think so. However, for fun, here’s a photo of the Grand Canyon, my absolute favorite natural wonder of the world and where I’ve had mystical experiences.
What I’m referring to here is how we “wonder” or use our “sense of wonder,” or are the two mutually exclusive once moved out of childhood? Are you “wondering,” stuck in what you should do, what you think your role should be, what others expect of you, or stuck in worry, fear, or anxiety? This is a soul killer.Or, are you embracing your sense of wonder beyond the linear and the five senses and the known, a place filled with beauty, passion, ecstasy and miracles of what the unknown can bring?
Do you observe young children, and write off their beautiful imaginations just because they are children, or because they don’t subscribe to your reality? Or can you see their sense of wonder as being a pure and un-jaded perspective, untarnished from too many rules, supposed to’s and should’s?As an adult, have you retained your connection to more than you can see, hear, see, feel and think?
Do you really think we’d have the creativity, artistry, and advances in a myriad of forms if we didn’t retain our sense of wonder? I can tell you one thing, without it, you are stressed, filled with fear, and cutting off the source to your soul and your ultimate happiness and joy.
