Branwen - Original
Branwen was a Welsh princess known for her beauty and kindness. She was married to the Irish king in hopes of forging peace between their lands. However, her marriage turned unhappy when her husband mistreated her. One day, a starling appeared and noticed her distress. The starling was actually a magical creature sent to help her. It flew to her rescue, distracting her husband and enabling her to find a way to escape the oppressive marriage. Thanks to the starling’s clever intervention, Branwen was finally freed from her unhappy situation. The heart shape bird formation is an actual starling amalgamation photographed in San Rafael, CA.
