In Celtic mythology, Brigid is known for her association with healing, poetry, smithcraft, and fire. She is a triple goddess, often depicted as a maiden, mother, and crone. Brigid embodies both the nurturing and creative aspects of femininity. As the goddess of poetry and inspiration, she is the patroness of bards and artisans, guiding them in their creative endeavors. Brigid also represents healing and protection, and she is believed to have the power to bring forth physical and spiritual well-being. She is celebrated during the festival of Imbolc, which marks the beginning of spring and the returning of light.
