It is said that they possess the ability to communicate with other woodland creatures and draw strength from the earth. Legends tell of their gentle whispers on the breeze and their ethereal presence felt by those who wander through their wooded realms. Dryads symbolize the deep connection between humanity and nature, reminding us of the delicate balance that exists between the natural world and our own existence.

These photographs are from a branch cross section of a beloved 300 year old Boundary Oak tree that fell in a 2021 storm in Walnut Creek, California.
